Singapore Felt More Relaxing Than I Expected

I recently visited Singapore with my son.

Before the trip, I thought Japan was probably cleaner and more convenient for families.

But Singapore surprised me.

Everything felt very clean and calm.

Of course, places like Marina Bay Sands were luxurious.
But even public spaces felt comfortable and well maintained.

What impressed me the most was something unexpected:

the diaper changing rooms.

The diaper changing rooms felt surprisingly comfortable

The changing tables looked more like sofas than typical public baby stations.

Everything was very clean.
I also noticed there was no trash anywhere.

As a parent traveling with a child, small things like this really matter.

I felt like the spaces were designed to help parents feel less stressed.

Even the beach restroom felt relaxing

Another thing I remember was the restroom near the beach on Sentosa Island.

I did not take a photo there, but I still remember it clearly.

It was not luxurious like a hotel restroom.
The design matched the beach atmosphere, and relaxing music was playing inside.

I realized I had never heard music in an outdoor public restroom in Japan before.

It may sound like a small detail, but it made the space feel peaceful and welcoming.

Singapore felt different

Japan is still one of the cleanest countries I know.

But in Singapore, public spaces felt designed not only to be clean, but also to help people relax.

As a parent, I really appreciated that.
